3. Fun Break at the Halfway Point
Along the way, do some research and find a park or playground halfway through the drive. This will give the kids a chance to stretch their legs and get some energy out! It can be a great way to reset before continuing on!
.
4. Hourly Surprise Bags
For each hour of the trip, pack a bag that the kids can open! It can be filled with new of their favorite snacks, toys, or activity. This will help them have something to look forward to with each hour of the drive!
.
5. Snackle Box for Treats
Use snackle/ snack boxes and fill them with a variety of bite-sized treats! The compartments help keep the snacks organized and easily accessible for kids!

7. Creative Activity Packs
Prepare activity packs with a variety of things such as coloring books, crayons, stickers, and small puzzles. These activities can be a good thing to turn to when kids start to feel restless!
.
8. Portable DVD Player or Tablet
While screen time may not be your first choice, having a portable DVD player or a tablet with movies and shows can be a lifesaver, especially on long road trips! It can be a good way to close out the last leg of the time on the road. Just be sure to bring headphones!
.

Classic car games like “I Spy” , license plate bingo, or even interactive apps can help provide hours of entertainment! Look for games the whole family can play together!
